<<You have the same copy of XP installed on two computers? Are they networked together? I know MS has been lenient at times for home users with the Pro, perhaps they are getting better still.>>
Peter....the Corp version does not include activation and therefore, can be installed on many computers. I'm sure that must be the one that Ted has. It's probably the one that Clint has too, since it's the one that was most pirated BECUZ it doesn't require activation...therefore, it's the one that gives a lot of people trouble when they try to install SP1...it seems even the non-pirated versions give some people trouble.....Microsoft evidently went way overboard when they tried to make SP1 unavailable to illegal users....from what I hear, if you have a legal copy and you call MS, they will give you a new product key Linda Publisher ~ ABC ~ All 'Bout Computers Owner ~ Linda's Computer Stop http://personal-computer-tutor.com FREE MS Office eBook Tutorial http://personal-computer-tutor.com/library.htm ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
