Yes, Charles, I just went back and tried the Enter key, the Escape key, and the three-finger salute (which, of course, got me out of the Console).
I'd rather use the Recovery Console than Win 98 format, since the Console will assure me that I maintain NTFS on the computer. However, I'm becoming rather pessimistic about it. I guess nobody on PCW has ever had the dubious pleasure of using Recovery Console.
