MS has a support article on how to fix the MAPI#@ error you have here http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=195752, basically rename the mapi32.dll file found at C:\Windows\System32\ to mapi32.old and then restart Outlook.

A separate e-mail explained how I was able to successfully format my hard drive and re-install Windows (almost) successfully.
Two problems remain:
1. "Setup could not copy per_seg5.swf" 2. "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. MAPI32.dll is corrupt or the wrong version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software. Please re-install Microsoft Outlook.
I was not able to resolve either of those problems. 1. What is per_seg5.swf? Does it matter? Can I copy it from another computer that has XP? 2. I don't have other messaging software, and this is a fresh install of Windows and Office. Can I take that DLL from another computer?
