Harold:

Take a look at this FF extension. The URL is very long so I made a TinyURL
out of it.

I haven't tried it yet but it looks as if it might do what you want.

Subject: PCWorks: Firefox, IE, bookmarks, & favorites

Hello again,

Using Firefox, I installed what Favorites I had in IE so now they are all
part of my bookmarks. In addition, I have a convenient Bookmarks Toolbar
(but that I configured optionally). All this I now have in FF. This must
have been done by my using the Manage Bookmarks > File > Export feature,
thus bringing all the IE Favorites into the FF Bookmarks as a list. I
emphasize, "as a list."

Now, while using FF, changes are made in this Bookmarks list but these
changes do not show up in IE (no reason they should). When I try to update
the IE favorites by exporting from FF to IE, all I get in IE is an .htm file
leading to a FF webpage with all the Bookmark links on it.

I even removed all the Favorites from IE (backing them up in a temporary
folder on the desktop), so now all I have in that Favorites list is my Links
folder (now empty), and that bookmarks file (the .htm link) that leads back
to a bookmarks page in FF.

The question is --- How can I export the bookmarks from FF to IE so that
they now show up as an updated Favorites list (looking like the Favorites I
have backed up on my desktop), and not just being an .htm link leading back
to FF? In other words, how can I reverse what I described in my first
paragraph above, thus bringing all the FF Bookmarks into the IE Favorites as
an updated list (and not as a link)?

If this was already discussed, maybe John, our Royal Keeper of the Archives,
can direct me to the proper location --- Harold
