I think you will experience trouble when it trys to boot up. I have tried
using a HD from one PC installed into another chassis and it wouldn't make
the boot up. It kept finding "new resources" and "new hardware" and finally
just locked up. The drivers for your old MB will most likely be different
from the new MB, unless you know it's the same model # MB, which is highly
unlikely. The last time I tried this was with a HD with WIN 98. Newer OS's
may not have as big a problem. I'm not that familiar with WIN XP....maybe it
could handle it ??? What OS do you have?

If I purchase a bare bone system..includes mother board, can I transfer my
hard drive from my current PC
over to the new bare-bone system with no trouble?
Thank you.
