I think you will experience trouble when it trys to boot up. I have tried using a HD from one PC installed into another chassis and it wouldn't make the boot up. It kept finding "new resources" and "new hardware" and finally just locked up. The drivers for your old MB will most likely be different from the new MB, unless you know it's the same model # MB, which is highly unlikely. The last time I tried this was with a HD with WIN 98. Newer OS's may not have as big a problem. I'm not that familiar with WIN XP....maybe it could handle it ??? What OS do you have?
