Hi Marlene, I downloaded the component checker and found out that I have MDAC 2.8 SP1 on Windows XP SP2. I found the page with the hotfixes but did not see my problem - or if it's listed did not understand it. Any other ideas? There are a lot of hotfixes. I don't know which one I need. Thanks.

I just got the computer last year - I have a Gateway 505GR with Windows XP with SP2, 3Ghz, .99 GB RAM. I tried the program this morning and it worked. I ran Regvac - it found and fixed some errors. I tried the program again a few minutes ago, and got the same error message. I did contact the software company but haven't heard back yet. Do you think I should try this update? Thanks. Try this link to update the database. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;839428 I would also consider calling/emailing the programs supprt department.
