Looking at your other posts on this, looks like the best thing to do is to contact the software vendor like I mentioned (and knowing software vendors it could take quite a while and numerous tries). If you're on XP SP2, it should have the latest MDAC and scripting. So it could be something extra the software needs, or your scripting or MDAC could be corrupted, or, a bug in the software. Look again at the search results because just because they don't mention the software, they will still help and tell you about MDAC and VB scripting. -Clint
God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lisa Schnepf" < Hi Clint, I'm using Windows XP. Yes, I looked up Error Number 2147024769 in dogpile, and it told me problems for all kinds of software, but not the one I'm using, so I don't know if it pertains to my problem. I contacted the software company but haven't heard back yet. How do I tell if I need to update my Visual Basic Scripting or MDAC? I'm not even sure what that is. I also had a problem with another software- Atkins Carb Counter software which is also a database software. It would work a couple of times, then out of no where when you click on the icon you get an hourglass for about 3 seconds, then nothing! I got my money back and downloaded the free trial of this one- Weight by Date. It worked fine for 3 days. I entered all kinds of stuff, and now it's basically doing the same thing that the Atkins software did. Lisa -----Original Message----- Support-OrpheusComputing.com OS?? Did you try and look up "Error number 2147024769" at a search engine? There's several pages on it and that would be starting point. Then I'd ask the software maker if the results tell you nothing specific. If I had to guess, you may have to update your Visual Basic/Scripting or MDAC. You need to post your OS to get more help. -Clint ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lisa Schnepf" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> When trying to open up a program called "Weight by Date" I get this message: Error number 2147024769 Error Description: Automation Error The Specified Procedure could not be found. What does this mean? Thanks. ~Lisa~ ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
