I was talking in terms of presentations that may have a complex navigation
system consisting of lots of user feedback, lots of animation, sound, etc. 

I've seen PDF used for that, but I, personally, have found that there are
other applications designed specifically for that (Flash, for instance).

It sounds like version 6 adds a lot of new stuff that I need to look at in
more detail ;o)

Actually, the biggest problem I had with basic, static presentations in PDF
files was the fact that, by default, Acrobat Reader wouldn't anti-alias
vector line art. 

As for those that say that PDF may be considered the 'best' format for this
type of thing, I'd love to hear more specifics.

Also, when talking of it being a good format, are people referring to it as
a good delivery format or a good authoring format (or both?)
