Acrobat 5 was a largish step backwards from 4, 6 is a leap forward. I haven't tested it extensively, but it seems to allow embedding a lot more formats than 5 (which seemed limited to Quicktime, which isn't very widespread on Windows boxes.)
ANY media that can be played, can be embedded. QT, Flash/SWF, WMP, MP3, etc.
My guess is that you'd need the users to have the version 6 Reader to make it all fall into place.
That would be best...
