Sometimes you may have to end both acrotray AND acrord32.dll.

Also, although we still see the problem, it is much less prevalent as we are
current on all the critical updates.

Did you try to save the file on the desktop and then double clicking on it?
You will need to change the file name as you are saving it to something you
can recognize.

In the early going the problem went away after un-installing windows update
for IE #813489.

However, since this particular update had to do with security, many of our
customers did not want to un-install it.

Other customers that did not install the update did not have that problem at
all.

Thanks a lot for your help.
I tried your suggestions and this is what I found:

1. The problem happens not just with Internet Explorer but also with
Netscape.
2. I ended Acrotray process and I still have the same problem
3. I do not have any weird characters in the URL

So, I am still stuck.  Anyone else has a clue what could be causing this
problem?
