I'd some experience with OverDrive and it was not good. At the occasion they
only work with Microsoft .lit After to know Adobe PDF I never more deal with
.lit

It's difficult indeed to understand they recommend a conversion service for
Adobe PDF. My experience with 6.0.1 is that if you compress an Adobe pdf
ebook, with Winzip for example,  the difference is so small that doesn't
worth (the fear many people have of virus).
