C'mon, Bill, it really isn't ~that~ bad... (It's just overpriced.)
You know, it's kind of funny - a lot of the Pentax literature of that time
refers to the 40/2.8 as "the incredible standard lens everyone is speaking
about", and, while perhaps the only thing "incredible" about it is the going
prices for it nowadays, it certainly is true that we ~keep~ "speaking about"
it - <g>.
