The 80-200 will be fine if you can get close enough. However, since
they're racing on ice, you might find yourself quite a ways from the
action. In that case you might want a 300 or even a 400. At some tracks
that I've shot at, even 400 isn't long enough. One of the best locations
on any closed circuit track is to position yourself so you can get the
cars 3/4 or 7/8 to the front as they're braking for a turn. There's
usually a lot of action in a spot like that, and the cars slow enough to
make your hit percentage higher.
