I have one of these, and it is convenient for certain
situations. However, I find it cumbersome and slow to use when
it's worn as a fanny pack, as you have to move it around to the
front to access the gear. And when it's in the front, it gets
in the way of my bending down to take pictures from a low
position. It is, however, very nice for ~carrying~ gear when
hiking, riding, or even walking around town, and the removable
pouches are a nice feature. It just depends on how you use your
gear as to what bag is best. Since we often use our gear in
different ways at different times, there's probably no one bag
that'll "do it all".

That's a perfect situation for the Off Road bags.

I suppose one's style of shooting and the subject would play a
role here, but if you keep your camera in the bag, isn't it a
little slow to access for quick shooting?
