 I have the FA version of this lens and it's really nice.  I like it because of its 
sharpness, its speed, its comfortable handling in manual-focus and the fact 
that the AF is geared so that at non-macro distances it can be really _fast_ 
to focus.

 I'm not sure about the nitty-gritty details but basically the rear element stays 
stationary as you focus.  It apparently keeps the sharpness more consistent 
between macro and infinity focus.
