What mystifies me about zooms is that there is no 35 to 100 or 120
to be had.  That would, seemingly, be a wedding pro's dream zoom.

While everybody makes a 17-35 f/2.8 or something like it these days, there doesn't seem to be a demand for a 24-50 f/2.8 (which is odd because that's exactly what the 17-35 is on most DSLRs...)
