In my city the newspaper publishes the names of people convicted of drunk driving. It's shows who the "bad people" are, supposedly to act as a deterrent I guess, but it really looks like an attempt to make the "good people" who aren't on the list feel superior to the "bad people" who are on the list.
They should be in jail. A one year minimum for the first offense and never drive again.
Martha, here's a hint - next time think big. The Enron and Worldcom guys stole hundreds of millions over the course of many years, and will have to pay back tens of millions and spend a few months in jail. Get it?
Didn't they used to tell us that crime doesn't pay.
