Hi, Don.

My favourite flash for macro (ok I got two flashes...) is the AF400T.
What I do is to tilt the stem of the flash forwards so that the flash
head is almost level with the front of the lens. This unit gives just
enough light for f/32 at 1:1 with a 100mm macro lens. But I'm but a
humble amateur compared to our fellow pentaxian Mark Cassino. He's got
some essays on the subject at his website www.markcassino.com, and a
few glances at his images will convince you he knows what he's talking
about. It's one of the places I go for inspiration.

Cheers,
Jostein
