The camera works without batteries;  the meter probably needs a PX625 
battery...but since those are now outlawed, you'll have to go for whatever 
the replacement is.  (I remember it's made by Wein).

As to whether or not the deal was good, I'll quote Tom, from "Lock, Stock, & 2
