It should be a very fine lens, better than the Sigma and Tokina optically. But according to a guy who works for Tamron HK mentioned it was possible that some SF28-75/2.8 might not be as sharp as they should be due to not perfectly aligned optical axis. Some sample pics were shown but I don't have the link.
