Absolutely...a few long spells, at times.
Unfortunately, there is apparently no quick fix. If
there is some way you could lay your mind around this
month's Lenswork magazine, there are a couple of
worthwhile ideas proposed by 2
psycholigist/photographers who address the issues of
misguided photographers and some possible strategies
to think about.
