Both were Socialists. Neither could abide any socialist who disagreed
with them. Hitler was also virulently anti-communist (He blamed the
Communists for Germany's defeat in WW1, along with the Jews). Stalin was
really a tyrant who used the Communist Party to get into power, Hitler
was more of a true believer, and stark raving mad.
