Yeah, but now I know more (or am more aware of what's out there).

My 1st car, as a 17 year old was a 1966 Pontiac Grand Prix w/a 389 and 4-barrel carb. My first SLR was sort of like my first car. I didn't do a heck of a lot of research on either.

I bought a PZ-1p because I wanted predictive AF and matrix-metering and I was at that critical point where I chose between Pentax or Nikon. I went with Pentax mainly because 1) I had 4 manual focus lenses and 2) I couldn't afford the Nikon flash that was needed for the 8008S.

I bought the *istD because I wanted to get into digital and because of the existing lenses I had, not because I thought it was a better camera than the other brands or that it offered more than than the competitors.

I'm not sorry I did, I'm just going to start looking forward instead of backwards.

That would be about 30 years ago Tom.
It didn't stop you from buying their cameras though.
