Hi Juan ... For the money the Nikon Coolscan V is an excellent scanner. I've been happy with mine. However, if I had it to do all over again, I'd have spent the extra $$ and gotten the Coolscan 5000. It works in 16-bit rather than 14-bit, allows multi-pass scanning, plus it takes the roll feeder accessory.
Admittedly, these are small issues, and I'm not sure the Coolscan 5000 is really worth about twice the price, but there are times when I wish one or another of its features were available. Shel
