I'm new to Pentax bodies having used crappy Ricoh's until I bought an LX
recently. Therefore I have non-Pentax lenses. Yes, I plan to buy Pentax
lenses as soon as the budget allows but in the meantime I will get by with
my off-brand lenses. Incidentally I have a Vivitar Series 1 105mm Macro
that focuses to 1:1. It is far superior to Pentax and Nikon glass in my
humble opinion. Does this mean that I will be excluded from the PUG? One
of my reasons for joining this list was the PUG.....

Well Lasse, it is the PENTAX users gallery after all. Not being
a hard nosed person myself, I would say that as long as the
camera body and the lens used is Pentax brand, then the
submission will be published.
I will certainly consider objections to this criteria. For
example, it may be desirable to allow non Pentax brand lenses in
the open galleries, as long as the body is Pentax.
This really is mostly a non issue, but if you look at this
months gallery, you will note that two of the submissions are
from Canon and Nikon users respectively. While it is nice that
they want to be seen in our forum, I want to discourage what I
see as creeping horseshit from gaining a foothold in the PUG.
As always, the gallery maintainer is the final arbiter of what
will or will not be published in the PUG, but I will be guided
by the desires of the people for whom the gallery is published
for, which is the members of the PDML.

I invite discussion on this subject.
