I have two quibbles with the 16-45: First, it is both bigger and heavier than the 24-90, which was plenty big and heavy for me (don't look for me to be carrying f/2.8 zooms around anytime soon!).
Second, it zooms backwards: barrel is all the way in at 45mm, all the way out at 16mm. As Toine said, it doesn't play nicely with the popup flash for that reason.
