I think this is the same at our side of the pond too. Unfortunately many
Goldens suffer from what I call the colour TV syndrome. In early seventies
when the children where nagging their parent's to buy a colour TV, the
answer was home breeding using the neighbour dog. The result was often an
odd mix of genes.

This has happened to a lot of the popular breeds. So if you want a child
safe dog, then stay away from the popular breeds.

The number 1 biter in North America?
The new health disaster looking for a place to happen?
Sorry, not for me. Goldens aren't dogs they used to be.
