After going through various mails on this topic, do I conclude that k1000 and KX type of manual cameras are used by very less number camera users? So camera companies are not able to break even with reasonable cost of the cameras. Looks like , most of the camera users switched to Autofocus cameras. And camera companies make more autofocus cameras where the volume is high but can offer cameras in reasonable cost .

Because they can't make enough from selling them to break even. Hardly anybody buys new ones when there are plenty of used ones around. Even though the last K1000 bodies were made in China they still cost more than they made from them.
