If it works better, doesn't self-discharge more than 30% over a YEAR, charges in ANY "NiMH-compatible" charger, and generally makes a rechargeable-battery device pleasant rather than aggravating to use again, then I guess I just don't give a fig about whether or not it is "really" nimh.
