You're right. And even those without a prior investment may go for a Pentax MF digital, since there are numerous excellent used lenses available at very reasonable prices. The market isn't huge, but it's big enough to be profitable. You can be sure that Hoya has given this a lot of careful thought.

I kinda think that anyone with a significant investment in 645 glass will snap up a 645D in a heartbeat. There are so many advantages to the format for a working pro that small format, whether 35mm full frame of clipped
format APS-C just doesn't offer.
