That would be just great, I'd hang on to the K20D for some considerable time if
there were a genuine improvement at high ISO. I can't see manual override of SR
ever happening unfortunately.

John

Depending on how much of the High ISO improvement comes from firmware
there may be an upgrade to the K20D shortly after the release of the new
camera to address that. Remember the *ist-Ds had a similar upgrade to
*ist-Ds2 standard in every feature except the size of the actual back of
camera display after the release of the Ds2. There might even be
improvements in the direct view implementation, on the K20D if it
doesn't require the changes to hardware. Being able to override SR
manually also sounds possible as well. Higher frame rate and higher
shutter speeds would require hardware changes. So about half of your
list may show up in the K20D's next, (and based on past history),
probably last firmware update.

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or
drinking; he can ruin himself with gambling. If he does he is certainly a damn
fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a
free man any more than a dog.
