MZ series have much worse viewfinders than your old bodies. The only
thing that changed for better over the years is focusing screen
brightness. Otherwise, the magnification is much lower, making manual
focus a pain compared to good old mf body. I think it's quite good to
install a newer focusing screen in older body, but I wouldn't change
to MZ series (except maybe MZ-S <g>). Of course, if you need in-camera
spotmeter plus digital TTL flash, it's the only way. Still, I would
get one of the older AF bodies like PZ1p (true spot area compared to
MZ5n/MZ3 quite bigger "spot" area, IIRC), or something like SFXn/SF1n
if your finances are low (no spotmeter, otherwise good incl. very good
finder for an AF camera).
