Just economic pressure in the current economic climate. The need to cut costs is pretty powerful. Of course, now that this is hitting mainstream media, there could be negative economic effects from people being wary about buying an Apple computer or at least reluctant to purchase an extended warranty for it. You can get away with squeezing money out of customers this way only as long as each customer is unaware of others being squeezed the same way. At that point the bad P.R. makes the costs outweigh the benefits. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
