I find the Auto-AF point to be one of the worst features I've ever experienced. Whenever I'm having severe AF problems I check and sure enough, the switch got bumped from center to auto select. I alway use center point, focus, then recompose.
I don't know how the camera can possibly determine where I want focus and experience shows it cannot.
