And that's his account of how he did it. Some "experts" have suggested that a wild wolf, skulking around, would not have jumped the fence but would have climbed through it.
I expect that the first few times aid wolf encountered that fence, that would have been exactly how it would have gotten past it. Over time as the wolf became familiar with it and the surroundings, he would probably have taken to jumping it. This is giving the photographer the benefit of doubt that it is, in fact, a wild wolf and not a Malanois or Laekenois cross.
