I expect that the first few times aid wolf encountered that fence, that would have been exactly how it would have gotten past it. Over time as the wolf became familiar with it and the surroundings, he would probably have taken to jumping it. This is giving the photographer the benefit of doubt that it is, in fact, a wild wolf and not a Malanois or Laekenois cross.
