The K-X kit lens is the DA L 18-55 AL, not the DA 18-55 AL or the DA
18-55 AL II. It's the same optics as the AL II in a cheaper barrel.

There are 4 Pentax 18-55's.

The original DA 18-55 f3.5-5.6 AL
The redesigned DA 18-55 f3.5-5.6 AL II
The lightened DA L 18-55 f3.5-5.6 AL
The wealed DA 18-55 f3.5-5.6 AL WR

The last three lenses are optically identical, with the redesigned
optics intended for use with sensors over 10MP. The DA L gets a
plastic mount and lacks Quick-Shift focus, the WR is merely the AL II
with weather sealing.
