Apple stole (borrowed with permission the concept for) the GUI from the same place Micro$oft eventually stole (borrowed without permission after Apple introduced it to the general public, then further polished the concept for 3 years) the Windoze GUI (after backing off the ease of use and artfully designed graphics part) from.
