i bought the same camera (Lumix LX-3) for my partner earlier this year, and "borrowed" it for a trip to Savannah in February; i found it very refreshing to use, and easy to work up comfort with its controls; the main advantage the S90 (which i've handled) has over the LX-3 is a longer zoom; other than that i found several reasons to prefer the LX-3, not least being that it felt much better in my hand
