Motion blur of the subject isn't always bad, motion blur from camera shake is 
almost always bad.

Exactly.  Interestingly, at one point last night I put my DFA 50 macro on the 
K20 to photograph IDs, and for the first part of the evening just used it as my 
50 on the K-x with the 77 on the K20.  When I switched to the 16-50 on the K20 
I didn't shoot any more with the macro lens
