Pretty much what I'm thinking.  The lower half of the chimney forms part of the 
house cladding so that part of it is still there.  All we'd need to do is run 
the pipe up through the roof.

We had a very close 4.1 aftershock just before.  5km deep and about 3km away 
and enough to cut the power for a few minutes.  One of the builders was high up 
on the roof and nearly crapped himself...
