Peter, for the Z-1p you might also consider the Power Zoom FA 28-105 f4-5.6. This lens was designed for the Z-1p (I own two of these bodies, and have one of these lenses on each). It is a very good, sharp lens that gives 1:3 macro at 105 mm. It is an older design and is probably out of production (replaced by the newer zooms). Some places still have new ones, and good used ones can be found inexpensively at KEH. This is considered to be one of the best zoom lenses Pentax has made.
