There is a poem that is very important for you to learn before your
California trip.
Leaves of three, let it be.
Make sure that you know how to recognize poison oak. This is a special
time of year for poison oak. Some of it is turning a very lovely bright
red. Some of it has lost its leaves. The leaves have had all summer to
secrete and collect urushiol, that marvelous oil that most people are
allergic to.
