I won't be driving Hwy 1 through Big Sur until tomorrow.
Plans for today are to make it to Moro bay by sunset, spending most 
of the afternoon in the M.B. / Atascadero region.

Sounds nice.  I have a grueling 10 mile drive to get to an ocean
beach from my house in the Redwoods.  I have to settle for a river in
my back yard.
