I do believe you are right. This one http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ee/Jaguar_XK140_white.jpeg compared to this one http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e7/Jaguar_XK_120,_Bj._1953,_Nürb'ring_Südschleife_(2008-06-28).jpg shows the identifying cosmetic differences. Look at the windshield frame and the pitch of the grill. Also the 140 last the fender skirts.
