Hi Christine -

Its been about AWB in general.

I haven't paid much attention to the color balance on my images out of the camera - I'm still shooting AWB.

Hi Ken: has this reading been specifically about the K-3 or just AWB in general? Cheers, Christine

I've been reading that using AWB should be avoided, as in general it produces inconsistent results. It's been recommended to select a specific applicable WB (cloudy, sunny etc what ever is applicable) that will at least be consistent thru the shoot. Unless of course you set a custom WB.

Thanks for the heads up, Bruce. I’m eager to see what the AWB improvements will bring. My first and limited impressions so far on the K-3 is that the AWB is sometimes a bit inconsistent. My thought is the K5 AWB was more stable and consistent.

Cheers, Christine
