I second the 12-24. It’s an excellent lens. The DA 16-45/4 is also a very good 
lens optically, although the build quality leaves something to be desired. But 
it’s usually available at bargain prices. I used one for quite some time with 
considerable success before selling it for about $250. Here’s one on ebay:
