I wish I could take credit for it... I came up with the idea while combing the 
local Best Buy, Staples & Game Stop for a screen with HDMI in. Which was not 
fruitful. Only after I got my rig set up did I learn that I was not an av 
pioneer, and this solution has been employed elsewhere!
