Dave,

Besides the information in the footer of the message, there is information in the headers of the message. The headers are typically not shown by the mail program (or web-mail interface), but you can see them by choosing an option "View all headers" (or whatever it is, depending on the tool).

Here how it looks "in the raw":

List-Id: Pentax-Discuss Mail List <pdml.pdml.net>
List-Unsubscribe: <http://pdml.net/mailman/options/pdml_pdml.net>,
        <mailto:pdml-requ...@pdml.net?subject=unsubscribe>
List-Archive: <http://pdml.net/pipermail/pdml_pdml.net/>
List-Post: <mailto:pdml@pdml.net>
List-Help: <mailto:pdml-requ...@pdml.net?subject=help>
List-Subscribe: <http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net>,
        <mailto:pdml-requ...@pdml.net?subject=subscribe>

Some mail programs are smart enough to interpret those headers
and tell you that the message contains list management information.

I am glad that information was helpful.

Igor

Any e-mail you get from PDML contains list management information, how to
subscribe/unsubscribe.

All I see at the bottom of messages is a link to the web-based subscription interface. I might store your message for future reference as I had to wait a week or so after my trip to Oz before I could access the web page.

Cheers,
Dave
