I'm another Bill, but what I've done with good success (also on a Super Program that 
had the same problem) is just use a little dry graphite powder on the rewind 
shaft....no disassembly required.  Haven't had any further problems in a year or two.  
Just be sure to be careful with the graphite, (it can be messy) and just work the 
rewind shaft quite a bit....
