I'd say that is an ~excellent~ price. (The prices on this lens tend to vary widely, depending upon whether the seller realizes it's such a "cult classic" or not - <g>.) In her review of this old lens in a 1998 (yes, 1998) issue of Shutterbug magazine, Frances Schultz says: "Some lenses are legendary: the Voigtlander Apo Lanthar, the Zeiss Biogon, the Leitz Thambar, and so on. Usually, their prices reflect their legendary status. There are others which deserve to be legends and are really appreciated by those who own them, but which can still be found surprisingly inexpensive." Part of the attractiveness of some of the "cult classic" lenses has always been their price-to-performance ratio. Fred
